👤 Your myteeb Profile
Editing Your Profile
Go to My Profile (person icon in the sidebar or mobile nav) to edit everything about yourself. Your profile has three main tabs:
Profile Tab
The core information people see:
- Profile photo — your main photo (required for the best experience).
- First name & last name — first name is always shown; last name is optional.
- Bio — up to 500 characters. Tell people who you are, what you're about, or what you're looking for.
- City — helps with location-based discovery.
- Gender & looking for — controls who sees you and who you see in discovery.
Details Tab
Extended profile information used by discovery filters:
- Height, relationship goal, religion, education, smoking, drinking, wants children
- These fields are optional but they help the right people find you
- They appear as chips on your public profile page
Interests Tab
Pick up to 10 interests from 35+ tags. Shared interests are highlighted when someone views your profile — this helps start conversations naturally.
Uploading Photos
Your profile photo is the first thing people see. To change it or add more photos:
- 1Go to My Profile → Profile tab
Click your current profile photo or the upload area.
- 2Select your photo
Choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP image from your device. Maximum file size is 5 MB.
- 3Save changes
Your new photo uploads and saves automatically. It will appear on your profile immediately.
Photo Tips
- Use a clear, recent photo of just your face as your main profile picture.
- Smiling photos perform significantly better.
- Avoid group photos, sunglasses, or heavily filtered images as your main photo.
- Add more photos in your photo albums to give people a fuller picture of you.
Photo Verification ✅
Photo verification (selfie verification) proves you are the real person in your profile photos. Verified profiles display a green ✅ Verified badge — this significantly increases trust and match rates.
How to Get Verified
- 1Go to My Profile
Find the Verify Photos section and click the button to start the process.
- 2Take a selfie in the required pose
You'll be shown a reference pose. Take a selfie matching it — this proves you're a real person and not using someone else's photos.
- 3Submit for review
Our team reviews selfie verifications manually. You'll receive a notification once you're approved (usually within 24 hours).
Photo Albums
Photo albums let you share more of your life beyond your single profile photo. You can create themed albums (travel, hobbies, lifestyle) and optionally make them private so only people you approve can see them.
Album Limits by Plan
| Plan | Max Albums | Photos per Album |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 2 | Up to 10 |
| ✦ Silver | 5 | Up to 10 |
| ⭐ Gold | 10 | Up to 10 |
Creating an Album
- 1Go to My Profile → scroll to the Albums section
You'll see your existing albums and a + Create Album button.
- 2Name your album
Give it a descriptive name like "Travel 2024" or "My Hobbies".
- 3Set privacy
Choose Public (anyone viewing your profile can see it) or Private (only people you approve can see the photos).
- 4Upload photos
Open the album and add photos one by one (up to 10 per album). JPG, PNG, WebP, max 5 MB each.
Private Albums & Access Requests
When an album is private, other users see a locked album card on your profile. They can send you an access request — you'll be notified and can approve or reject it. Only approved users can view the photos.
You can delete albums or toggle privacy at any time from your profile.
Interests
myteeb has 35+ interest tags across categories like Travel, Music, Sports, Gaming, Food, Books, Art, and more. You can select up to 10 interests.
Interests are used to:
- Show shared interests as coloured chips on discovery cards and profile pages.
- Give people a quick sense of who you are before they read your bio.
- Help start conversations — "Oh you like hiking too? I just got back from..."
Go to My Profile → Interests tab, toggle interests on/off, and save. You can update them any time.
Your Public Profile URL
Every myteeb member has a clean profile URL: myteeb.com/your-username
You can share this link with friends or on social media. Clicking it takes them directly to your public profile page. To change your username, go to Settings → Username (can only be changed once every 6 months).
